AboutBlack Tar was founded 1997 in Stavanger, Norway by Vidar Andersen. The philosophy of Black Tar has always been simple; We listen very carefully to our customers, their users and their customers. We strive to be forever humble, to engage in honest conversation and seek to learn, learn, learn. We believe in the good conversation. An open minded, transparent and honest, genuinely interested and down to earth approach is the key to our success. The mutual trust gained, our reliability and your satisfaction is how we define and gauge success. We believe that the combination of good usability and great visual design is a prerequisite for a successful product and a gratifying user experience. We apply heuristic testing, scientific methodology and a user centered approach. We combine the latest in UX research and best practices based on our experience. We strongly support open standards, interoperability and open source software in general.
