About Black Tar
Black Tar specialises in web-based solutions and services, offering consulting services in usability, analysis, design, architecture and software development. Black Tar was founded by Vidar Andersen in 1997. Vidar is also one of the founders of the Plone Content Management System. Black Tar is celebrating over ten years of business. After over 10 years of booms, bubbles and busts we are still here, ready to party like it's 1999! (Do not expect an IPO or complimentary Aeron chairs any-day-now, though.) About PlonePlone is a leading open source Content Management System that balances out-of-the-box ease of use with powerful functionality. Thousands of organizations around the world including Marriott, eBay, NASA, and Oxfam use Plone to deliver websites that mature with their organizations' changing needs. Plone is available in over 35 languages, can be deployed on all platforms and is not tied to a singular vendor. The Plone ecosystem is composed of thousands of developers, over 50 consulting companies, user groups in over a dozen cities, several books and a 24-hour support forum. For the technically inclined, the Plone CMS is based on the Zope Application Server and the Python Programming Language. If you are new to Plone please visit Plone.org for further information. About Black Tar, Plone and YouIn over ten years of experience in the field of web-based human-computer-interaction and communication, Black Tar has worked together with small national companies, big global corporations and governments developing, improving and innovating in the fields of content management systems, intranets, extranets, portals and custom applications and services.
